Me, Myself and I

I had the best day just hanging out with myself.  I drove down to the Country Club Plaza to check out the new two storey Forever XXI, which did not let me down.  I had a great drive down, listening to my new mixed CD, and then pulling into the perfect parking spot.  I walked lightheartedly to XXI and spent 45 minutes browsing.  I finally decided on a pair of nuetral mules and a cream colored blazer.

After XXI I crossed over to American Eagle where I found some cute shorts and a sweater 75% off.

There were protesters respectfully lining the street in front of Mill Creek Park in an effort to support Egypt. Directly across the street was another group supporting the legalization of a certain "medical" drug. They both put a smile on my face from the creativity of their signs.  I wish I would have had my camera!

Fountain and Mill Street Park.

Before I headed home I stopped off at Topsy's for a soda and popcorn for the ride home.

Originally opened as Patsy's on the Country Club Plaza. Topsy's is the oldest merchant on the Country Club Plaza.

Once I got home I watched the final episode of  Friday Night Lights, which choked me up, but that is a normal occurrence when watching this show.  I have to say (in my opinion) it was the best damn show on television (for the past 5 years).  The acting, cinematography, characters, plots and emotional power of FNL will be impossible to recapture.  Episode after episode delivered a heartfelt reaction from is hard to see it go.

I will miss the show and him:

Taylor Kitsch played Friday Night Lights' Tim Riggins, one of the show's most compelling and notable characters. He was awesome

If you never watched Friday Night Lights, backtrack and start with season one.  It is worth your time.

Sounds like you had a fabulous day! I miss the Country Club Plaza. I've been in bed, sick the past 2 days. Ugh!
