Making Changes

I am somewhat schizo when I start revamping things.  I start in one place and before you know it I have torn something else apart while still in the middle of my original project.  Currently, I am in the process of antique glazing the vanity in the guest bathroom, which was not on my radar until I was listening to HGTV while finishing the project posted below. kitchen shelves are boring and I wanted to do something to give them depth and create more warmth. Below is the before and after.

(Added faux leather fabric I found at Hobby Lobby)

(Styled it a bit with stuff I just had around the house)

I like the idea of making the shelves a mini bar. I would never have had alcohol on display before, but now that Q is in college it doesn't seem like a big deal.

I am not satisfied witht the styling.  My favorite shelf is the bottom one with the wine glasses and bottles.  I also like the Patron shelf, but I need to work on the second shelf with the picture's boring. I am indiffernt to the canisters at the top, so if something differnt strikes me I will happily change it.

One other simple change I dresser.  It was boring, but I styled it up with two cheap lamps from Kirlands (which I Love, Love Love, for accent pieces).  The tray and clock have been tucked away in a closet so I put them to good use.

Can you see Bobo in the mirror??  Ignore my unmade bed please!

There is more to come...I am a very slow worker!

The shelves are great, they have a whole new dimension with the dark color and texture in the back Your dresser looks great with the lamps. I have a very similar dresser and I am not happy with how I have it have me thinking.....
